  1. Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, ensuring their needs are met and their shopping experience is positive.
  2. Train and supervise store associates, setting a high standard for customer service and ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to meet customer needs.
  3. Assist in the hiring and onboarding of new store associates, ensuring they are trained in customer service and store operations.
  4. Monitor and maintain store cleanliness and organization, ensuring a welcoming and appealing shopping environment for customers.
  5. Handle customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner, striving to find solutions and maintain customer satisfaction.
  6. Assist in the creation and implementation of customer service policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and excellence across all store operations.
  7. Collaborate with the Store Manager to set and meet sales goals, utilizing exceptional customer service to drive sales and foster repeat business.
  8. Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring products are readily available for customers and minimizing stock shortages.
  9. Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and trends, providing information and recommendations to customers and store associates.
  10. Support the Store Manager in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and scheduling.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, serving as a role model for store associates in delivering exceptional customer service.
  12. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and cooperation among store associates.
  13. Continuously seek ways to improve customer service and store operations, providing feedback and suggestions to the Store Manager.
  14. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  15. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, upholding the values and reputation of Big Lots.
