As an Asset Protection Officer at Big Lots, you will play an integral role in protecting the assets of the company. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security and safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the protection of personnel and the assets of the company. You should possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as a professional demeanor and approach to your work. The ideal candidate should have strong investigative and problem-solving abilities, along with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. We are looking for an individual with a minimum of two years of asset protection or loss prevention experience, and a valid driver's license. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain security and safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the protection of personnel and the assets of the company.
- Monitor surveillance systems to identify suspicious behavior and respond to security concerns.
- Investigate thefts and other incidents as needed.
- Conduct regular audits and inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
- Create and maintain incident reports and other documentation.
- Create and enforce employee safety protocols and guidelines.
- Provide training and guidance to personnel on security and safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with personnel, guests, and vendors.
- Perform regular patrols and checks to ensure the safety and security of company assets.
