1. Develop and implement company-wide environmental health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
3. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and procedures.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks related to environmental health and safety.
5. Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in safety performance.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to environmental health and safety.
7. Manage the budget for environmental health and safety initiatives and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
8. Lead incident investigations and develop corrective action plans to prevent future incidents.
9. Communicate regularly with senior management on the status and effectiveness of environmental health and safety initiatives.
10. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and industry associations.
11. Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to all levels of employees on EHS matters.
12. Drive a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the organization.
13. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to environmental health and safety.
14. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
15. Stay current on new and emerging environmental health and safety trends and technologies and make recommendations for implementation as appropriate.
