Quality Control Inspector
Measure key quality characteristics on various molded plastic components and mold steel components. Enter data into computer for analysis and prepare graphs and charts for data analysis. Assist engineering in product design verification, process qualifications, and validations. Perform measurements with calipers, digital micrometers, gage pins, drop depth gages, optical comparator and other basic measurement tools. Perform measurements with contact and vision CMM’s (Coordinate Measuring Machines) using pre-established routines and fixtures. Program contact and vision CMM’s. Ensure measurement data is accurate and traceable. Perform Gage R&R studies.
Minimum 1 year experience in mechanical inspection.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
Experience using mechanical inspection and measuring equipment.
Experience using CT scanners, vision systems and optical measurement devices is a plus.
