- Develop and optimize processes for materials used in medical devices, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Conduct research and testing to identify new materials and methods that can enhance product performance and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new materials and processes for medical devices.
- Analyze and evaluate existing materials processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and equipment needed for production.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for any process or materials related issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to materials processes.
- Continuously seek out opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste and costs.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on materials processes and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in materials engineering and apply new knowledge to improve processes and products.
- Collaborate with suppliers on materials selection and procurement.
- Manage and maintain documentation related to materials processes, including standard operating procedures and technical reports.
- Communicate regularly with management and other teams to provide updates on materials process developments and projects.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and provide materials engineering expertise.
- Uphold the company's mission and values and represent the organization in a professional manner.
Bachelor's Degree In Materials Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Materials Process Engineering Role, Preferably In The Medical Device Industry.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Materials Properties, Processing Techniques, And Quality Control Methods.
Experience With Statistical Analysis And Process Improvement Methodologies, Such As Six Sigma Or Lean Manufacturing.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively And Effectively In A Team Environment.
