- Oversee and manage the financial consolidation process for Becton Dickinson's global operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely consolidation of financial data from various business units and regions.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve the consolidation process and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Lead a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Review and analyze financial statements to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare and present consolidated financial reports to senior management.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards and ensure compliance in the consolidation process.
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and recommendations based on the consolidated financial data.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the consolidation process.
- Provide support for audits and ensure all financial records are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary financial information and support.
- Communicate and work closely with finance leaders and business unit leaders to understand their needs and provide accurate and timely financial information.
- Act as a subject matter expert on consolidation accounting and provide guidance to other team members.
- Contribute to the overall success of the organization by continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: A Strong Foundation In Accounting Principles And Financial Analysis Is Essential For A Manager Of Consolidations Accounting At Becton Dickinson.
Cpa Or Equivalent Certification: Becton Dickinson Requires Candidates For This Role To Be A Certified Public Accountant Or Hold An Equivalent Certification, Such As A Chartered Accountant Or Certified Management Accountant.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Consolidations Accounting: This Position Requires A Candidate With A Proven Track Record Of Managing Complex Consolidations Accounting Processes, Ideally In A Large Multinational Organization.
Strong Understanding Of Us Gaap And Ifrs: Becton Dickinson Operates Globally And Adheres To Both Us Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And International Financial Reporting Standards (Ifrs). A Manager Of Consolidations Accounting Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Both To Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting.
Experience With Financial Systems And Consolidation Software: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Financial Systems, Such As Sap Or Oracle, And Consolidation Software, Such As Hyperion Or Cognos. Proficiency In Microsoft Excel Is Also Required.
