Intellectual Property Operations Specialist

1. Assist with patent and trademark prosecution, including drafting and filing applications, responding to office actions, and managing deadlines.
2. Maintain and update intellectual property portfolio databases to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
3. Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D, marketing, and legal, to identify and protect valuable intellectual property.
4. Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as law firms and government agencies, to manage intellectual property matters.
5. Conduct research and analysis on existing and potential intellectual property to identify potential issues and risks.
6. Support the legal team in enforcing and defending intellectual property rights, including conducting infringement analyses and drafting cease and desist letters.
7. Monitor and track competitor activity and market trends related to intellectual property.
8. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks and projects.
9. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive intellectual property information.
10. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments related to intellectual property.
11. Train and educate employees on intellectual property policies and procedures.
12. Assist with budgeting and forecasting for intellectual property operations.
13. Prepare reports and presentations on intellectual property activities and performance.
14. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards, in all intellectual property-related activities.
15. Continually seek opportunities to improve and streamline intellectual property operations processes.
