- Manage Import Operations: The Global Trade Import Operations Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all import operations for Becton Dickinson's global trade activities. This includes coordinating and monitoring the delivery of goods, managing customs clearance processes, and ensuring compliance with import regulations.
- Ensure Trade Compliance: The Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all import activities comply with relevant trade laws and regulations. This includes staying up-to-date on changes in import laws and advising the company on any necessary adjustments to import processes.
- Monitor International Logistics: The Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the logistics of international shipments, including tracking shipments, coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders, and addressing any delays or issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: The Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient import operations. This may include collaborating with supply chain, finance, and procurement teams to address any import-related issues.
- Analyze and Report on Import Data: The Specialist will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on import data, including volume, costs, and compliance metrics. This will help inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement in import operations.
- Develop and Maintain Import Processes: The Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining import processes that are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company policies and objectives.
- Handle Import Documentation: The Specialist will be responsible for managing all import-related documentation, including import licenses, permits, and customs declarations. They will ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Stay Up-to-Date on Industry Trends: The Specialist will be expected to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to global trade and import operations. They will use this knowledge to continuously improve and optimize import processes.
- Provide Training and Support: The Specialist may be responsible for providing training and support to other team members on import processes and regulations. This may include conducting training sessions and developing training materials.
Bachelor's Degree In International Business, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Global Trade Import Operations, Preferably In The Medical Device Or Healthcare Industry.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Import Regulations, Customs Processes, And Trade Compliance Requirements In Various Countries.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Troubleshoot Import Issues And Ensure On-Time Delivery Of Goods.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Internal Teams, External Partners, And Government Agencies.
