- Develop and design new medical products and processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement in existing products and processes.
- Utilize engineering principles and techniques to develop innovative solutions for complex design challenges.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test plans.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for efficient production.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in medical technology to inform product design decisions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate the viability of new product ideas.
- Lead and participate in design reviews, providing critical feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with product design and development.
- Communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements, present design proposals, and provide project updates.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process and product improvement to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of components.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of product and process design standards.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Product And Process Design Within The Medical Device Industry.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Gie (Global Innovation Excellence) Principles And Methodology.
Experience In Leading Cross-Functional Teams And Managing Projects From Concept To Commercialization.
Familiarity With Regulatory Requirements And Standards For Medical Devices, Such As Iso 13485 And Fda Regulations.
