Job Description

Performs and leads design tasks that create component and assembly hardware along with the integration of this hardware into their higher-level systems. Produces and reviews other engineers engineering models and drawings and performs complex tolerance studies. Supports all engineering activities related to product and process development during project phases in accordance with design controls. System/Mechanical design, modeling, analysis, and review. Defines new product architecture. Performs feasibility studies and analyze performance. Works directly with chief engineers, system engineers and program leadership to plan and executes development projects and/or production hardware deliveries. Derives requirements. Prepares engineering bill of materials and drawing release plans.

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience is required

  • Experience in Design for Quality, Design for Reliability, and Lean Manufacturing

  • Experience in FMEA and root cause analysis

  • Ability to work independently and on cross-functional teams with development groups at other facilities

Required Skills

  • Root-Cause Analysis

  • Time management competent

  • Strong SolidWorks 2014-2015

  • CAD skills (3D/2D)

  • System/Mechanical design, modeling, analysis, and review
