  1. Travel to customer sites to provide technical support and service for Beckman Coulter instruments.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose instrument issues, utilizing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  3. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on instruments to ensure peak performance.
  4. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  5. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and support.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  7. Stay current with industry developments and advancements, continuously learning and improving technical skills.
  8. Keep detailed records of service visits, including work performed and recommendations for future maintenance.
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and service standards.
  10. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to enhance customer experience.
  11. Represent Beckman Coulter in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  12. Participate in training and development programs to further enhance technical knowledge and skills.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field: A Field Service Engineer At Beckman Coulter Must Have A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles And Practices To Effectively Troubleshoot And Repair Complex Instruments And Equipment.

  • Prior Experience In Field Service Or Customer Support Roles: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Field Service Or Customer Support Role, Preferably In The Medical Device Industry. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Work Independently And Provide Excellent Customer Service.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Laboratory Equipment: Familiarity With Medical Laboratory Equipment, Such As Centrifuges, Analyzers, And Diagnostics Systems, Is Essential For A Field Service Engineer At Beckman Coulter. This Includes A Strong Understanding Of The Underlying Technology And How To Troubleshoot And Repair Any Issues That May Arise.

  • Strong Technical And Analytical Skills: Field Service Engineers Must Have Excellent Technical And Analytical Skills To Diagnose And Resolve Complex Problems With Equipment. They Should Also Be Able To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Schematics.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Customer-Facing Role, A Field Service Engineer Must Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Customers And Internal Teams. This Includes The Ability To Explain Technical Issues In A Clear And Concise Manner And Work Collaboratively With Others To Solve Problems.
