- Lead and manage the Serbian Service team to deliver high-quality news coverage and digital content for the BBC.
- Ensure that all content produced by the team meets the BBC's editorial standards for accuracy, impartiality, and fairness.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage and grow the Serbian audience through compelling and relevant news content.
- Monitor and analyze the Serbian media landscape to identify new and emerging stories and trends that will resonate with the audience.
- Mentor and support the team of journalists, providing guidance and feedback to improve their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within the BBC to coordinate coverage and share resources.
- Manage the team's budget and resources effectively, making strategic decisions to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in journalism to continuously improve the team's performance and output.
- Work closely with the BBC's legal and compliance teams to ensure all content meets legal and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the BBC and the Serbian Service in external events and engagements with stakeholders and partners.
Extensive Experience In Journalism: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Journalism, Preferably With A Focus On Serbian News And Current Affairs. This Experience Should Include A Strong Understanding Of The Serbian Media Landscape And A Proven Track Record Of Producing High-Quality Content.
