  1. Design and implement complex network solutions to support the delivery of high-quality and reliable services to the global audience of the BBC.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve network issues and optimize system performance.
  3. Develop and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  4. Monitor and analyze network traffic to ensure efficient and secure data flow.
  5. Lead and mentor junior engineers in the team, providing technical guidance and support.
  6. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for their implementation in the network infrastructure.
  7. Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and policies.
  8. Work closely with project managers to deliver network-related projects on time and within budget.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems, including outages, performance issues, and security breaches.
  10. Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure the smooth operation of network infrastructure.
  11. Conduct regular audits of network systems and implement necessary updates and upgrades.
  12. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical network issues.
  13. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely and effective solutions.
  14. Proactively identify and mitigate potential network risks and vulnerabilities.
  15. Continuously monitor and improve network performance, reliability, and security.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Designing And Implementing Complex Network Systems, Including Lan/Wan, Wireless, And Cloud-Based Networking Solutions.

  • Strong Understanding Of Network Infrastructure And Protocols, Including Tcp/Ip, Dns, Dhcp, And Vpn.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing A Team Of Network Engineers In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Security Best Practices And Experience In Implementing Network Security Measures To Protect Against Cyber Threats.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders, As Well As The Ability To Articulate Technical Concepts To Non-Technical Audiences.
