  1. Conduct thorough research and gather accurate information to produce high-quality news and current affairs content for the BBC.
  2. Pitch and develop engaging story ideas that align with the BBC's editorial standards and values.
  3. Build and maintain a network of reliable sources to uncover and report on breaking news and exclusive stories.
  4. Conduct interviews and gather quotes and statements from relevant individuals and sources.
  5. Write, edit, and fact-check news stories, ensuring they are accurate, balanced, and adhere to the highest journalistic standards.
  6. Work collaboratively with producers, editors, and other team members to create multi-platform content that engages and informs a global audience.
  7. Stay up-to-date with current events and trends, and provide insightful analysis and context to news stories.
  8. Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines in all aspects of reporting, including accuracy, fairness, and privacy.
  9. Meet tight deadlines and work efficiently under pressure to deliver breaking news stories and meet production schedules.
  10. Represent the BBC and its values in a professional and respectful manner while conducting interviews and reporting in the field.
  11. Utilize social media and other digital tools to promote and engage with the audience and gather story ideas.
  12. Participate in editorial meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions for improving the quality and reach of the BBC's journalism.
  13. Attend and cover events, press conferences, and other relevant activities to gather information and produce news stories.
  14. Continuously develop and improve journalism skills and stay informed about industry advancements and best practices.
  15. Uphold the BBC's commitment to diversity and inclusion by representing a range of voices and perspectives in reporting.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Reporting And News Writing.

  • Excellent Writing And Editing Skills, With A Strong Command Of Grammar And Ap Style.

  • Demonstrated Ability To Work Under Tight Deadlines And Produce High-Quality, Accurate Content.

  • Proficiency In Multimedia Journalism, Including Experience With Video And Audio Production, Social Media, And Digital Storytelling.
