- Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy and credibility of all content produced.
- Collaborate with other team members to brainstorm ideas and come up with creative ways to cover various topics and stories.
- Pitch story ideas and contribute to the planning and development of content for radio broadcasts.
- Monitor and stay up-to-date with current affairs and local news to identify potential stories and angles for coverage.
- Conduct interviews and gather audio recordings to be used in radio segments.
- Write scripts and prepare show rundowns for on-air segments.
- Edit audio recordings and create engaging and dynamic content for radio broadcasts.
- Work closely with presenters and other production staff to ensure a smooth and seamless broadcast.
- Adhere to BBC's journalistic standards and ethical guidelines.
- Manage deadlines and ensure timely delivery of all assigned tasks and projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with sources and contacts to facilitate the acquisition of exclusive content and stories.
- Stay informed about audience preferences and feedback and use this information to improve and enhance future content.
- Keep track of industry trends and developments and make recommendations for ways to incorporate them into our programming.
- Collaborate with the marketing and promotions team to help promote and publicize our radio programs and segments.
Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Broadcasting, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience Working In Radio Journalism Or Production.
Strong Writing And Editing Skills, With A Keen Attention To Detail.
Proficiency In Audio Editing Software And Other Relevant Technology.
