- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of news content across various platforms.
- Maintain a network of contacts and sources within the Turkish and Middle Eastern media landscape to gather information and verify sources.
- Adhere to BBC's editorial standards and guidelines, maintaining impartiality and accuracy in all reporting.
- Stay up-to-date with current affairs and international news, with a particular focus on the region.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to develop and implement strategies for improving news coverage and reaching new audiences.

- Represent BBC Monitoring at events, conferences, and other public engagements as needed.

Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or A Related Field. A Strong Foundation In Journalistic Principles And Techniques Is Essential For Success In This Role.
Fluent In Both English And Turkish. As A Journalist In Istanbul, The Ability To Conduct Interviews And Research In Both Languages Is Crucial For Accurately Reporting On Local News And Events.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role. Previous Experience In A Newsroom Or As A Freelance Journalist In Istanbul Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Ability To Gather Information And Produce High-Quality Content Under Tight Deadlines.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Current Affairs And Political Climate In Turkey. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Cultural And Political Landscape In Istanbul, As Well As The Ability To Identify And Report On Important Stories And Trends.
Strong Writing And Communication Skills. A Successful Journalist At Bbc Monitoring Must Be Able To Write Clear, Concise, And Engaging News Reports For A Global Audience. They Should Also Possess Excellent Communication Skills For Conducting Interviews And Collaborating With Other Team Members.
