As the Journalism Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our newsroom and the delivery of high-quality news content.   1. Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the newsroom, including scheduling, assignments, and deadlines.
  2. Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of news content by managing the workflow of journalists and reporters.
  3. Work closely with the editorial team to develop and implement editorial strategies and ensure consistency in news coverage.
  4. Monitor and analyze news content to ensure it meets the standards and guidelines of the BBC.
  5. Liaise with other departments within the BBC to coordinate news coverage and ensure a cohesive approach.
  6. Manage and maintain newsroom resources, including equipment, software, and databases.
  7. Train and mentor new journalists and interns, providing guidance and support on journalistic best practices.
  8. Stay informed about current events and news developments to assist in the selection and delivery of newsworthy stories.
  9. Maintain a strong understanding of media laws, regulations, and ethical standards to ensure compliance in all news content.
  10. Collaborate with other news organizations and media outlets to develop partnerships and expand coverage opportunities.
  11. Act as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including sources, PR agencies, and the public.
  12. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality in the newsroom.
  13. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies to enhance the newsroom's capabilities.
