We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Journalism Coordinator to join our Learning English team at BBC. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the production of high-quality journalism content for our English learning platform. We are looking for someone who is passionate about language learning and has a strong background in journalism, with excellent writing and editing skills.   1. Coordinate and oversee the production of high-quality journalism content for the Learning English platform.
  2. Work closely with a team of writers, editors, and producers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of content.
  3. Develop and maintain editorial calendar and ensure content aligns with overall goals and objectives.
  4. Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy and credibility of content.
  5. Edit and proofread content for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
  6. Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and informative content that meets the needs of English language learners.
  7. Stay up-to-date with current events and trends in the journalism industry to incorporate into content.
  8. Ensure all content meets BBC's editorial standards and guidelines.
  9. Manage and maintain relationships with external contributors and guest writers.
  10. Monitor and analyze audience engagement with content and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Work with the Learning English team to develop and implement strategies for reaching a global audience.
  12. Attend editorial meetings and provide input on content ideas and strategies.
  13. Train and mentor junior team members on best practices for journalism content production.
  14. Continuously strive for innovation and improvement in content production processes.
  15. Represent BBC and the Learning English team at events and conferences related to language learning and journalism.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Journalism Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Working In A Newsroom Or Media Organization

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of English Language And Grammar

  • Excellent Writing And Editing Skills, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy

  • Experience In Coordinating And Managing A Team Of Journalists Or Reporters
