Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Impact Officer. As an Impact Officer, you will play a crucial role in measuring and enhancing the social impact of our programs and initiatives. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of media and social impact, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. If you are driven by the desire to make a difference and have the necessary qualifications, we would love to have you on board.

  1. Develop and implement strategies to measure the social impact of BBC programs and initiatives.
  2. Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of BBC's media platforms in creating positive change in society.
  3. Collaborate with various teams within the BBC to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance the social impact of programs.
  4. Stay updated on current events and societal issues to ensure the BBC's content and initiatives are relevant and impactful.
  5. Communicate and present impact findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with external organizations and partners to further enhance the BBC's social impact.
  7. Conduct research on best practices and trends in media impact evaluation and incorporate them into the BBC's impact measurement strategies.
  8. Develop and maintain impact measurement tools and databases to track progress and measure success.
  9. Support the development of new initiatives and projects that align with the BBC's mission of creating positive social impact.
  10. Participate in meetings and workshops to share insights and collaborate with other impact officers and teams within the BBC.
  11. Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards in all impact measurement activities.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve impact measurement methodologies to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  13. Represent the BBC at conferences and events related to media impact and contribute to thought leadership in the industry.
  14. Mentor and train junior impact officers and interns to build a strong impact measurement team within the BBC.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Communication, Media Studies, Or Public Relations.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In A Similar Role, Preferably Within The Media Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Impact Measurement And Evaluation Methodologies, Including Data Collection And Analysis.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Engage And Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge Of Current Social And Environmental Issues, And A Passion For Making A Positive Impact Through Media Initiatives.
