  1. Develop and maintain the visual identity and branding of BBC News programs in collaboration with the News Director and other key stakeholders.
  2. Lead and manage a team of designers, producers, and technicians to deliver high-quality on-air graphics and sets for news programs.
  3. Establish and maintain production standards for all on-air graphics and sets, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all platforms and programs.
  4. Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in broadcast design and incorporate them into the visual identity of BBC News.
  5. Collaborate with producers, reporters, and other team members to develop creative and visually appealing ways to present news content.
  6. Manage the budget and resources of the News Studio to ensure efficient and effective use of equipment and personnel.
  7. Oversee the hiring and training of new team members and provide ongoing support and guidance to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  8. Work closely with the technical team to ensure smooth execution of on-air graphics and sets during live broadcasts.
  9. Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of the team's performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching to improve their skills and efficiency.
  10. Communicate and coordinate with other departments within BBC News to ensure the successful delivery of news content that meets the highest standards of production.
