Restaurant Barista

We are looking for an outgoing and energetic individual to join our team as Restaurant Barista at Barnes & Noble. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional customer service, taking pride in their work, and delivering a unique and enjoyable cafe experience.This position requires at least one year of barista experience in a fast-paced environment, as well as a valid Food Handler’s Certificate, or the ability to obtain one. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as espresso, cappuccino, latte, and iced drinks
2. Greet customers, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service
3. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
4. Receive and process payment for customer orders
5. Maintain stock of beverages, food items, and supplies
6. Follow recipes and prepare food items according to company standards
7. Operate and maintain coffee brewing and espresso machines
8. Monitor and maintain quality standards for all prepared items
9. Prepare and serve specialty drinks and food items
10. Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and ingredients
11. Maintain proper cash handling procedures
12. Troubleshoot and address customer concerns or complaints in a timely manner
13. Train and coach new baristas on coffee preparation and customer service techniques
