Restaurant Barista

At Barnes & Noble, we’re looking for a friendly, customer service-oriented Barista to join our restaurant team. As a Barista, you’ll work with our customers to prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, manage the cash register, and provide an overall excellent experience. If you’re passionate about great customer service and have a positive attitude, we want to hear from you!To be successful as a Barista at Barnes & Noble, you should have a good knowledge of coffee and tea. You should also be comfortable working with a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multitask. In addition, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must. If you have previous barista experience, it’s a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks for customers
• Manage the cash register
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers
• Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the barista area
• Stock and replenish supplies
• Follow safe food handling procedures
• Follow company policies and regulations
• Upsell additional products when appropriate
• Provide excellent customer service
• Have a good knowledge of coffee and tea
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Multitask effectively
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous barista experience is a plus
