Job Description

Our ideal candidate should be a motivated, creative thinker with retail experience and a knack for customer service. If you have a love for books and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service, we want to hear from you! The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:• Proven retail experience, preferably in the bookselling industry• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to serve customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner• Ability to motivate and lead a team• Ability to build strong relationships with customers• Working knowledge of bookselling, merchandising, and other retail-related areas• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
  2. Maintain knowledge of bookselling industry trends and stay up-to-date on new releases.
  3. Assist customers with finding the books they are looking for.
  4. Assist customers with making purchases, handling returns, and resolving customer complaints.
  5. Keep up with inventory and place orders for new books as needed.
  6. Ensure the bookstore is kept clean and organized.
  7. Assist in the implementation of promotional campaigns and other sales initiatives.
  8. Ensure the store is compliant with all relevant safety and security regulations.
  9. Lead and motivate a team of booksellers to achieve sales goals.
  10. Develop strong relationships with customers and build customer loyalty.
