  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all applicable financial regulations and ensure that Barclays is in compliance with them.
  2. Create and implement policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance across all departments and business units.
  3. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify any potential regulatory risks or non-compliance issues.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure that all processes and operations are in line with regulatory requirements.
  5. Stay up-to-date on all regulatory changes and communicate any updates or changes to relevant stakeholders.
  6. Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and act as the main point of contact for any regulatory inquiries or audits.
  7. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements and promote a culture of compliance.
  8. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to regulatory compliance to senior management.
  9. Lead investigations into any potential compliance breaches and implement corrective actions as needed.
  10. Collaborate with other members of the compliance team to develop and maintain a robust compliance program.
  11. Identify and recommend improvements to processes and procedures to enhance regulatory compliance.
  12. Ensure that all regulatory filings and reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  13. Participate in industry conferences and forums to stay informed about best practices in regulatory compliance.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory compliance and provide guidance and support to other teams as needed.
  15. Uphold Barclays' commitment to integrity and ethical standards in all aspects of regulatory assurance.

  • Extensive Regulatory Knowledge: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of The Regulatory Landscape, Including Regulations Specific To The Financial Services Industry. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Effectively Navigating And Implementing Regulatory Requirements.

  • Strategic Thinker: The Vice President Of Regulatory Assurance Will Be Responsible For Developing And Implementing Strategies To Ensure Compliance With All Applicable Regulations. They Should Have A Strong Ability To Think Strategically And Anticipate Potential Regulatory Challenges.

  • Strong Communication Skills: This Role Will Involve Working With Various Stakeholders, Including Regulators, Internal Teams, And Senior Leadership. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Convey Complex Regulatory Information To Different Audiences.

  • Compliance Experience: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In A Compliance Role, Preferably In The Financial Services Industry. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Compliance Processes, Procedures, And Best Practices.

  • Leadership And Team Management: The Vice President Of Regulatory Assurance Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Compliance Professionals. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership Skills And A Proven Ability To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team To Achieve Common Goals. Previous Experience In A Managerial Or Supervisory Role Is Preferred.
