We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Vice President of Barclays Internal Audit Credit Risk. As the VP of Internal Audit Credit Risk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of our risk management processes and providing independent assurance to senior management and the Board.   1. Develop and implement risk-based audit plans for credit risk management processes in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of credit risk management policies, procedures, and controls, and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Coordinate and lead audit engagements, including scoping, planning, fieldwork, and reporting, in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Provide independent and objective assurance to senior management and the Board on the adequacy and effectiveness of credit risk management processes.
  5. Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, and monitor the timely implementation of corrective actions.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes related to credit risk management, and incorporate them into audit plans and procedures.
  7. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business leaders and stakeholders to promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance.
  8. Lead and mentor a team of audit professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
  9. Collaborate with other internal audit teams and external auditors to ensure efficient and effective coverage of credit risk management processes.
  10. Participate in senior management and Board meetings to present audit findings and provide recommendations for improving risk management processes.
  11. Conduct special investigations and ad-hoc projects as assigned by senior management or the Board.
  12. Continuously evaluate and enhance the internal audit function to ensure it remains relevant, effective, and aligned with industry standards and best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Across The Organization.

  • Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience In Internal Audit, Risk Management, Or Credit Risk In The Financial Services Industry.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Credit Risk And Related Regulatory Requirements.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With A Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Developing Teams.
