  1. Provide legal advice and support to clients and business partners on matters related to U.S. fixed income derivatives.
  2. Conduct thorough and accurate legal research to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify potential risks.
  3. Draft and review legal documents and contracts related to fixed income derivatives, including ISDA agreements and other trading documentation.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams, including traders, risk management, and compliance, to ensure business practices align with legal and regulatory requirements.
  5. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends related to U.S. fixed income derivatives.
  6. Communicate effectively with clients, business partners, and internal stakeholders to provide guidance and address any legal concerns.
  7. Participate in negotiations and provide legal support for new business initiatives and transactions involving fixed income derivatives.
  8. Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks related to fixed income derivative transactions.
  9. Manage and prioritize a high volume of legal matters and projects within tight deadlines.
  10. Mentor and train junior attorneys and legal staff on U.S. fixed income derivatives and related legal matters.
  11. Represent the company in legal proceedings, including arbitrations and litigation related to fixed income derivatives.
  12. Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed.
  13. Maintain accurate and organized records of legal documents and correspondence related to fixed income derivatives.
  14. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to fixed income derivatives to increase efficiency and mitigate risk.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School With A Strong Academic Record.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Fixed Income Derivatives At A Top-Tier Law Firm Or Financial Institution.

  • In-Depth Knowledge And Understanding Of Relevant Laws, Regulations, And Industry Practices Related To Fixed Income Derivatives, Including Sec And Cftc Rules.

  • Excellent Drafting And Negotiation Skills For Complex Financial Instruments And Related Agreements.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Traders, Risk Management, And Regulatory Bodies.
