- Develop, maintain and optimize cloud-based data infrastructure for Barclays, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement and maintain data pipelines and data warehousing solutions.
- Ensure the security, scalability and reliability of the cloud data platform, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Implement data governance and data quality processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud-based data engineering and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet their requirements.
- Train and mentor junior team members on cloud data engineering best practices and ensure their growth and development.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments within Barclays to drive innovation and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and tools that align with business objectives and improve data infrastructure.
- Document and communicate technical solutions, processes and procedures to relevant stakeholders.

Extensive Experience In Cloud Data Engineering: A Sr. Cloud Data Engineer At Barclays Must Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Designing, Developing, And Maintaining Data Pipelines And Systems In A Cloud Environment. They Should Be Proficient In Cloud Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud And Have A Deep Understanding Of Cloud-Native Data Technologies.
Strong Programming Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Programming Languages Such As Python, Java, Or Scala. They Should Be Able To Write Efficient And Scalable Code To Process And Analyze Large Volumes Of Data In The Cloud.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Data Warehousing And Etl Processes: A Sr. Cloud Data Engineer Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Data Warehousing Concepts And Be Able To Design And Implement Etl Processes To Load Data From Various Sources Into A Data Warehouse. They Must Also Be Familiar With Data Modeling Techniques And Data Warehouse Design Principles.
Experience With Big Data Technologies: Barclays Is A Large Financial Institution With Vast Amounts Of Data, And A Sr. Cloud Data Engineer Should Have Experience Working With Big Data Technologies Such As Hadoop, Spark, And Kafka. They Should Be Able To Leverage These Technologies To Build Scalable And Reliable Data Pipelines.
