Senior Data Engineer - AVP

At Barclays, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer at the AVP level who is passionate about leveraging data to drive business outcomes. In this role, you will support our advanced analytics and data engineering initiatives in developing, transforming and managing our large-scale data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data engineering, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Engineer with at least 5 years of professional experience in a related field. You should have experience leading technical projects and have a proven track record of working with large datasets and developing advanced analytics capabilities. Furthermore, you should be proficient with various programming languages, such as Python, R and SQL, and have a good understanding of distributed systems and data architectures. An in-depth knowledge of cloud computing technologies such as AWS, Azure and GCP would be an advantage.The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, playing an important role in developing our data engineering capabilities and helping to drive data-driven initiatives.
