Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to the investment banking team at Barclays, including advising on complex financial transactions and regulatory matters.
- Collaborate with various teams within the company, including risk management, compliance, and finance, to ensure legal compliance and mitigate potential risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing them with effective legal solutions and excellent customer service.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to ensure the accuracy and relevance of legal advice and documentation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and transactional documents.
- Stay updated on industry and regulatory developments, and proactively advise the company on potential legal implications.
- Manage and oversee junior legal staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures within the investment banking department.
- Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with clients, external counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and communications.
Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Investment Banking Or Corporate Law, With A Focus On Securities And Financial Transactions.
Strong Knowledge Of Financial Regulations And Compliance, Including Sec And Finra Rules.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Work With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders.
Proven Track Record Of Managing And Advising On Complex Legal Matters, As Well As Experience In Managing A Team Of Attorneys And Legal Professionals.
