- Serve as the main point of contact for all crisis communications, both internally and externally, and act as the spokesperson for the company during times of crisis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively identify potential crisis scenarios and develop communication plans to address them.
- Monitor and analyze media and social media coverage to stay informed of potential crisis situations and provide timely and accurate updates to senior leadership.
- Develop messaging and talking points for senior leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure consistent and accurate communication during a crisis.
- Train and prepare key leaders and spokespersons for crisis situations, including conducting simulations and providing media training.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and key stakeholders to facilitate effective communication during a crisis.
- Act as a liaison with government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and manage communication during crisis situations.
- Provide timely and accurate updates to employees, customers, and other stakeholders during a crisis, while also managing their concerns and inquiries.
- Continuously review and improve crisis communication processes and procedures to ensure the organization is well-prepared for any potential crisis.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity when handling crisis situations and information.
