- Develop and drive the financial crime strategy for Barclays, in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Identify and assess potential financial crime risks to the organization and implement effective controls to mitigate these risks.
- Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders across the organization to foster a culture of compliance and raise awareness of financial crime risks.
- Lead and manage a team of financial crime professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure a high level of expertise and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments related to financial crime and incorporate them into the organization's strategy and operations.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of the organization's financial crime prevention measures to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and relevant committees on the organization's financial crime program and its effectiveness.
- Collaborate with external partners, regulators, and law enforcement agencies to share information and best practices in the fight against financial crime.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure effective communication and cooperation in financial crime prevention efforts.
- Act as a subject matter expert on financial crime matters, providing guidance and advice to colleagues and business units as needed.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Financial Crime Prevention Strategies And Regulatory Compliance, Including Aml, Kyc, And Sanctions Laws.
Proven Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing Large-Scale Financial Crime Programs Within A Global Financial Institution.
