- Oversee the creation and distribution of all external communications, including press releases, media statements, and social media content.
- Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry influencers, and other external stakeholders to increase positive coverage and brand visibility.
- Manage crisis communication and issues management, providing timely and effective responses to manage potential risks to the company's reputation.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align corporate messaging and campaigns, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to communication.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics and provide regular reports to senior management, making recommendations for continuous improvement and increased effectiveness.
- Act as a spokesperson for Barclays, representing the company in media interviews, public speaking engagements, and other external events.
