- Oversee credit risk management for the Global Corporate and Financial Services (GCFS) division at Barclays, with a specific focus on structured lending and financing products.
- Utilize expertise and knowledge of industry best practices to assess and monitor credit risks, identify potential issues, and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to credit risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including credit analysts, underwriters, and portfolio managers, to develop and implement risk management strategies.
- Conduct thorough credit analysis of potential and existing clients, identifying potential risks and making recommendations to mitigate those risks.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the credit risk profile of the GCFS division.
- Stay current on industry trends and developments related to structured lending and financing, and make recommendations for process improvements or changes as needed.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, assisting in their professional development and growth.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all credit risk management activities are in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulators during audits and examinations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and other external stakeholders, representing Barclays as a leader in credit risk management.
- Continuously evaluate and improve credit risk management processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as a subject matter expert on credit risk within the GCFS division and provide training and support to other teams as needed.
- Support senior management in the development and implementation of credit risk management strategies and initiatives.
- Adhere to all ethical standards and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Of 8 Years Experience In Credit Risk Management, With A Focus On Structured Lending And Financing In The Global Corporate And Financial Services (Gcfs) Sector.
Strong Understanding Of Credit Risk Principles And Regulations, Including Basel Iii And Regulatory Frameworks In Various Jurisdictions.
Proven Experience In Managing And Evaluating Credit Risk For Large And Complex Gcfs Transactions, Including Leveraged Finance And Project Finance.
Excellent Analytical Skills And Ability To Make Sound Credit Risk Decisions Based On Thorough Analysis Of Financial Statements, Market Conditions, And Industry Trends.
Strong Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Internal Teams And External Partners To Mitigate Credit Risk Exposure.
