AVP – Controls Business Partner

1. Develop and implement controls and risk management strategies in line with Barclays' regulatory obligations and risk management framework.
2. Act as a liaison between various departments to ensure that all business operations are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
3. Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential areas of risk, providing recommendations for mitigation and improvement.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain effective control processes and procedures.
5. Provide expert guidance and support to business teams on all control-related matters, including conducting training and workshops.
6. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of control processes and identify areas for improvement.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure that Barclays remains compliant.
8. Lead and oversee internal audits and regulatory examinations, providing necessary documentation and support.
9. Foster a culture of compliance and risk management by promoting awareness and understanding of control policies and procedures across the organization.
10. Communicate control-related updates and changes to relevant teams and ensure proper implementation.
11. Work closely with senior management to develop and execute risk management strategies and initiatives.
12. Provide timely and accurate reporting on control processes, incidents, and remedial actions.
13. Act as a subject matter expert on control and risk management matters, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
14. Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
15. Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulators and auditors, to ensure compliance and address any concerns or inquiries.
