
AVP – Controls Business Partner

- Develop and implement controls and risk management strategies in line with Barclays' regulatory obligations and risk management framework.
- Act as a liaison between various departments to ensure that all business operations are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential areas of risk, providing recommendations for mitigation and improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain effective control processes and procedures.
- Provide expert guidance and support to business teams on all control-related matters, including conducting training and workshops.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of control processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure that Barclays remains compliant.
- Lead and oversee internal audits and regulatory examinations, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Foster a culture of compliance and risk management by promoting awareness and understanding of control policies and procedures across the organization.
- Communicate control-related updates and changes to relevant teams and ensure proper implementation.
- Work closely with senior management to develop and execute risk management strategies and initiatives.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on control processes, incidents, and remedial actions.
- Act as a subject matter expert on control and risk management matters, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulators and auditors, to ensure compliance and address any concerns or inquiries.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Financial Controls, Risk Management, Or Audit.
Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements And Industry Standards.
Prior Experience In A Leadership Or Managerial Role Preferred.
