  2. Utilize knowledge and understanding of transport protocols to ensure the proper care and handling of patients.
  3. Administer emergency medical care and support as needed during transport.
  4. Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and comfortable transport experience.
  6. Monitor and assess patient conditions during transport and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  7. Ensure the proper maintenance and cleanliness of all transport vehicles and equipment.
  8. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide seamless and efficient care for patients.
  10. Keep accurate records and documentation of patient transport and care.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge and skills in emergency medical services.
  12. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families.
  13. Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and patient privacy.
  14. Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing Baptist Health South Florida.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Emt Certification: The Transport Technician Emt Must Have A Valid Emt Certification From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received The Necessary Training And Is Equipped With The Knowledge And Skills Required To Perform Emergency Medical Procedures.

  • Previous Experience: Candidates For This Position Should Have Prior Experience Working As An Emt, Preferably In A Transport Setting. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle Emergency Situations And Work Well Under Pressure.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Equipment: The Transport Technician Emt Must Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Equipment, Such As Stretchers, Oxygen Tanks, And Defibrillators. This Knowledge Is Essential For The Safe Transportation Of Patients And The Proper Use Of Equipment In Emergency Situations.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In The Field Of Emergency Medical Services. The Transport Technician Emt Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Efficiently With Patients, Their Families, And Other Medical Professionals.

  • Physical Fitness: This Job Requires A High Level Of Physical Stamina And Strength. The Transport Technician Emt Must Be Able To Lift And Move Patients, As Well As Work Long Hours In Demanding Environments. A Candidate Should Be In Good Physical Condition To Meet The Demands Of The Job.
