1. Operate and maintain a multi-line telephone system, ensuring all calls are routed accurately and efficiently to the appropriate departments or individuals within the organization.
2. Provide outstanding customer service by promptly answering and directing incoming calls, taking detailed messages, and responding to inquiries from patients, visitors, and staff.
3. Utilize electronic messaging and paging systems to relay important information to medical staff and other departments as needed.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date call logs and records of all communication activities.
5. Monitor and respond to emergency calls, following established protocols and procedures to ensure timely and appropriate assistance.
6. Collaborate with other departments and teams to coordinate patient transfers, appointments, and other logistical tasks.
7. Troubleshoot technical issues with the phone system and escalate to the appropriate IT personnel for resolution.
