- Operate and maintain a multi-line telephone system, ensuring all calls are routed accurately and efficiently to the appropriate departments or individuals within the organization.
- Provide outstanding customer service by promptly answering and directing incoming calls, taking detailed messages, and responding to inquiries from patients, visitors, and staff.
- Utilize electronic messaging and paging systems to relay important information to medical staff and other departments as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date call logs and records of all communication activities.
- Monitor and respond to emergency calls, following established protocols and procedures to ensure timely and appropriate assistance.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to coordinate patient transfers, appointments, and other logistical tasks.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with the phone system and escalate to the appropriate IT personnel for resolution.
- Stay informed about the organization's services, policies, and procedures to provide accurate and helpful information to callers.
- Protect the confidentiality of patient information by adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict confidentiality protocols.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new telecommunications operators as needed.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the telecommunication system.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, representing the organization in a professional and courteous manner to all callers.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For This Job Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures Basic Knowledge And Understanding Of Communication Systems And Equipment.
Prior Experience In A Related Field: Previous Experience In A Telecommunications Or Customer Service Role Is Preferred. This Demonstrates The Ability To Handle High Volumes Of Calls And Troubleshoot Technical Issues Effectively.
