Job Description

  1. Coordinate surgical access for patients, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling and preparation for surgical procedures.
  2. Monitor and manage surgical schedules to optimize utilization of resources and minimize delays.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and seamless surgical process.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative documentation.
  5. Collaborate with various departments, including surgery, anesthesia, and nursing, to ensure all team members are informed and prepared for upcoming surgeries.
  6. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to ensure the highest level of efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  7. Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes to ensure proper coverage for surgical procedures.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding surgical access.
  9. Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in surgical processes and procedures.
  11. Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure clear and effective communication.
  12. Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient surgical access.
  13. Act as a resource and mentor to other team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  14. Handle any issues or conflicts that may arise during the surgical access process in a professional and timely manner.
  15. Participate in team meetings and trainings to stay informed and contribute to the overall success of the surgical access department.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Access Or Scheduling Role, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Scheduling Protocols, And Medical Terminology.

  • Proficient In Computer Systems, Including Electronic Medical Records And Scheduling Software.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Surgeons, Staff, And Patients.
