Surgery Staffing Coordinator

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking an experienced Surgery Staffing Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare and providing excellent customer service to patients and staff. This position requires a collaborative, organized, and detail-oriented individual who is able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a Surgery Scheduler in a healthcare setting. They must be highly organized and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must also be able to work independently and as part of a team. The Surgery Staffing Coordinator should have excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling systems, and healthcare software. A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate scheduling of surgery procedures for patients.
2. Ensure that surgery staff is adequately informed of procedural changes and availability of resources.
3. Maintain patient records and monitor compliance with patient privacy laws.
4. Monitor and update scheduling software to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of patient care.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and staff to ensure quality of care.
6. Create and maintain reports and records to track surgery staffing needs and performance metrics.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to surgery staffing.
8. Participate in meetings and training sessions related to surgical staffing.
9. Address any customer service issues and concerns in a timely manner.
10. Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new surgical staff.
