
Senior Dosimetrist, Radiation Oncology

In this role, you will utilize your extensive knowledge and expertise in radiation therapy planning to develop treatment plans for cancer patients. - Develop treatment plans for cancer patients using advanced radiation therapy techniques and technologies.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of radiation physics to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with oncologists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Use specialized software and equipment to simulate and plan radiation treatments.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date on new developments and advancements in radiation therapy planning and techniques.
- Communicate treatment plans and progress to patients and their families in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatment plans, dosimetry calculations, and patient progress.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all aspects of radiation therapy planning and treatment.
- Mentor and train junior dosimetry staff members as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of department processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with patients and colleagues.

Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Medical Dosimetry Or Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Dosimetrist In A Radiation Oncology Department
Certification By The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (Mdcb)
Proficiency In Treatment Planning Software, Such As Eclipse Or Pinnacle
Strong Understanding Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Regulations
