  1. Monitor and patrol designated areas of the facility to prevent and detect potential security threats.
  2. Enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance and maintain a safe environment.
  3. Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed.
  4. Conduct security checks and inspections of equipment, facilities, and personnel.
  5. Investigate and report any suspicious activities or incidents.
  6. Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and employees.
  7. Collaborate with other security personnel and departments to ensure effective security measures are in place.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents and actions taken.
  9. Stay updated on current security trends and techniques to continuously improve security protocols.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to report any security concerns or issues.
  11. Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
  12. Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings related to security.
  13. Serve as a positive and professional representative of Baptist Health South Florida at all times.
  14. Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Experience In Security Or Law Enforcement: A Qualified Security Officer Should Have Previous Experience In Security Or Law Enforcement, Such As Working As A Security Guard, Police Officer, Or Military Personnel. This Experience Will Provide A Solid Foundation In Security Procedures And Emergency Response Protocols.

  • Knowledge Of Security Procedures And Protocols: A Security Officer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Security Procedures And Protocols, Including Access Control, Incident Response, And Emergency Evacuation Procedures. This Knowledge Will Help Ensure The Safety And Security Of The Facility And Its Occupants.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Security Officer, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Patients, And Visitors Is Crucial. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Necessary For Handling Potentially Tense Or Volatile Situations.

  • Physical Fitness And Stamina: Security Officers Are Often Required To Stand Or Walk For Extended Periods Of Time, And May Need To Respond Quickly To Emergency Situations. Therefore, Physical Fitness And Stamina Are Important Qualifications For This Role.

  • Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Skills: Security Officers Must Be Detail-Oriented And Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills. They Must Be Able To Quickly Assess A Situation And Make Informed Decisions To Resolve Any Issues That May Arise.
