Respiratory Therapist Intern

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Respiratory Therapist Intern to join our team. The Respiratory Therapist Intern will work closely with the Respiratory Therapist and other health care professionals to provide quality respiratory care. The successful candidate will be a team player with strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have an Associate degree in Respiratory Care, and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Respiratory Therapist in providing quality respiratory care to patients.
2. Communicate effectively and collaborate with other health care professionals to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
3. Follow established protocols and regulations related to respiratory care.
4. Monitor patient conditions and provide necessary treatments.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
6. Perform diagnostic tests and analyze results to determine appropriate treatments.
7. Educate patients and family members about respiratory treatments and care.
8. Maintain equipment and supplies related to respiratory care.
9. Participate in quality assurance activities and performance improvement initiatives.
10. Adhere to safety regulations and infection control procedures.
