Public Safety & Threat Management Specialist

1. Develop and implement strategies and protocols to ensure the safety and security of all individuals within Baptist Health South Florida facilities.
2. Conduct risk assessments and threat analyses to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
3. Collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure that all safety and security procedures are in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
4. Monitor and respond to any potential threats or security incidents, including coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
5. Train and educate employees on safety and security protocols and procedures to promote a culture of awareness and preparedness.
6. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess the effectiveness of current safety and security measures and make recommendations for improvement.
7. Stay informed about current security trends and threats and make recommendations for updates to policies and procedures as needed.
8. Serve as a point of contact for any safety or security concerns or incidents, providing timely and thorough communication to all relevant parties.
9. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety and security incidents and investigations.
10. Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to share information and resources related to safety and security.
11. Stay up-to-date on all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to safety and security and ensure compliance within the organization.
12. Remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and use problem-solving skills to effectively manage and resolve any safety or security issues.
13. Act as a liaison between Baptist Health South Florida and external partners, such as law enforcement and emergency services, to coordinate responses and share information.
14. Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge related to safety and security.
15. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health South Florida in all aspects of the role.
