Physician Assistant

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team. The Physician Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients under the direct supervision of a physician. This individual must have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and pharmacology, as well as the ability to recognize and interpret physical and laboratory findings. Required Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program • Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Florida • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification • 2+ years of experience in a similar role • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively • Strong organizational and time management skills • Proficient in the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) • Knowledge of applicable medical laws and regulations

Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under the direct supervision of a physician.
2. Administer diagnostic tests and interpret laboratory and physical findings.
3. Record and review patient histories and symptoms.
4. Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and treatments.
5. Develop and implement appropriate patient care plans.
6. Maintain accurate records of patient care, including progress notes and medications.
7. Follow established protocols to manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
8. Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers, as needed.
9. Review medical orders and lab results to ensure accuracy and completion.
10. Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
11. Maintain compliance with state and local regulations and laws.
12. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for accurate and timely documentation.
