OR Tech Assistant

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of operating room procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology. The successful candidate must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians and other team members.The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of experience as an OR Tech Assistant or related field. Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support to the operating room team during surgical procedures.
2. Ensure proper set up and functioning of medical equipment in the operating room.
3. Assist with the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for surgical procedures.
4. Ensure safe and effective transfer of patients to and from the operating room.
5. Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe environment in the operating room.
6. Follow established safety protocols and procedures.
7. Monitor patient vital signs during the procedure.
8. Maintain accurate and complete records of patient care.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
10. Communicate effectively with physicians and other team members.
