- Develop and implement occupational health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct pre-employment and periodic health screenings for employees.
- Assess and treat work-related injuries and illnesses, providing appropriate care and referrals as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and timely treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Educate employees on injury prevention, wellness, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of employee health information and occupational health incidents.
- Conduct thorough investigations of workplace injuries and accidents to identify potential hazards and make recommendations for prevention.
- Collaborate with human resources and management to develop and implement return-to-work plans for employees on medical leave.
- Participate in emergency response and disaster preparedness activities.
- Keep abreast of current trends and developments in occupational health and safety and make recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with employees, management, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and conferences.
- Demonstrate commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health South Florida.
Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Certification In Occupational Health Nursing (Cohn) Or Related Specialty.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Occupational Health Or Related Field.
Strong Knowledge Of Current Occupational Health Regulations And Best Practices.
