Job Description

Look no further, as Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a dedicated Monitor Technician for our Telemetry unit. This part-time position offers an evening shift schedule of 7:00pm-7:30am, providing ample opportunity for work-life balance. As a Monitor Technician, you will play a vital role in monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients. In this role, you will work closely with our healthcare team to provide timely and accurate information for patient care. To be successful in this position, you must possess strong communication skills, be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and have a minimum of one year of experience as a Monitor Technician.   1. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
  2. Work closely with healthcare team to provide timely and accurate information for patient care.
  3. Possess strong communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
  4. Multitask in a fast-paced environment to ensure all patient monitoring is done accurately and efficiently.
  5. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

  8. Report any changes in patient's condition to healthcare team promptly.
  9. Document all monitoring activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  10. Provide exceptional patient care and support to promote a positive patient experience.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure effective and efficient patient care.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  14. Attend training and education sessions to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  15. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and respect towards patients and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.

  • Completion Of A Certified Monitor Technician Training Program Or Equivalent Experience In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Telemetry Monitoring Role.

  • Knowledge Of Cardiac Rhythms And Ability To Recognize And Interpret Abnormal Patterns.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment.
