- Conduct complex laboratory tests and analyses on patient samples to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
- Perform a wide range of microbiological procedures, including culturing, staining, and identifying microorganisms.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results by following established protocols and quality control measures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and perform regular maintenance on laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep detailed records of all tests performed and report any abnormalities or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to provide timely and accurate test results.

Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field
Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) Or Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) By A Nationally Recognized Accrediting Agency
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Microbiology Laboratory Setting
Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Procedures
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Test Results.
