- Adhere to strict laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Monitor and analyze test results, identifying any abnormalities and reporting them to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to discuss patient cases and provide valuable insights based on test results.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills in the field of medical technology, staying informed about new developments and advancements.

Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field: A Medical Technologist Must Have A Strong Foundation In Laboratory Science And Techniques, Which Is Typically Acquired Through A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt): Many Employers, Including Baptist Health South Florida, Require Medical Technologists To Hold A Current Mt Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or American Medical Technologists (Amt).
Specialization In Hematology: Candidates For A Laboratory - Hematology Position At Baptist Health South Florida Should Have Specialized Knowledge And Experience In Hematology, Including Performing And Interpreting Tests Related To Blood Cell Counts And Morphology.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: Baptist Health South Florida Prefers Candidates With At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Technologist In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, With A Focus On Hematology.
