  1. Ensure compliance with all accreditation and regulatory requirements related to medical staff credentialing.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medical staff members, including licenses, certifications, and training.
  3. Coordinate and schedule medical staff meetings and events.
  4. Communicate with medical staff members and assist with any inquiries or concerns.
  5. Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely completion of medical staff credentialing processes.
  6. Process and maintain all necessary paperwork for initial and reappointment of medical staff members.
  7. Monitor and track expiration dates for licenses and certifications, and communicate with medical staff members to ensure timely renewals.
  8. Keep up-to-date with changes in accreditation and regulatory requirements and make necessary updates to processes and procedures.
  9. Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to medical staff credentialing.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information related to medical staff members.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service to medical staff members and other stakeholders.
  12. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the medical staff office.
  13. Participate in audits and surveys related to medical staff credentialing.
  14. Prepare and submit reports and data as needed.
  15. Attend trainings and conferences to stay updated on best practices and industry standards.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field: A Medical Staff Coordinator Should Have A Solid Educational Foundation In Healthcare Administration To Effectively Manage The Complex Operations Of Baptist Health South Florida.

  • Experience In Medical Staff Services: Candidates Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Medical Staff Services, Credentialing, Or Privileging. This Experience Will Demonstrate A Strong Understanding Of The Processes And Requirements Involved In Managing A Medical Staff.

  • Knowledge Of Accreditation Standards And Regulations: Baptist Health South Florida, Like Any Healthcare Organization, Must Adhere To Strict Accreditation Standards And Regulations. A Medical Staff Coordinator Should Be Knowledgeable And Up-To-Date On These Standards To Ensure Compliance.

  • Strong Organizational And Communication Skills: The Role Of A Medical Staff Coordinator Requires Excellent Organizational Skills To Manage And Maintain Accurate Records And Communicate Effectively With Medical Staff Members, Administrators, And Outside Agencies.
