
Medical Physics Assistant
Baptist Health South Florida is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Physics Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Physics Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective application of radiation therapy treatments for our patients. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping patients and has an eye for detail and accuracy.To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Physics or a related field and at least two years of experience in a radiation oncology setting. You should also be knowledgeable about radiation safety practices and radiation therapy techniques. Additionally, you must be able to interact effectively with patients, radiation oncologists, and other medical staff. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and effective application of radiation therapy treatments for patients.
- Monitor and review patient treatments for accuracy and safety.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other medical staff to ensure safe and effective radiation therapy treatments.
- Provide technical support to radiation oncologists and other medical staff.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of radiation safety protocols.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in medical physics and radiation therapy techniques.
- Educate patients about radiation therapy treatments and radiation safety practices.
- Prepare reports and documents related to medical physics and radiation safety.
- Maintain patient and treatment records in an accurate and timely manner.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills
Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment
Bachelor's Degree In Physics
Medical Physics Or Related Field
